David Talbot took over as our President, the International President was John Kenny, District Governor David Cooke and Assistant Governor was Terry Simmonds.

 

Many of our members attended the  Movie night Moa's Last Dancer in aid of Polio Plus, Graham and Margaret Brown raised an additional $21,000 for this cause as part of their Ride to Conference.

 

In October we ran a very successful Men's Health night - Mates Helping Mates.

 

We hosted a GSE team from District 6000 in Iowa, USA in March on their way to District Conference.  We also hosted several schools debates and helped with the Karinya Fete.

 

 

We again ran the Christmas Giving Tree with Corowa Supa IGA to help out needy families at Christmas.

 

Cleanup the Highway was another activity the Club participated in.

 

Catering was a major part of our fundraising, with catering at All Saints Winery Day on the Green event, Valhalla's Music Whiz Night's, and of course KVE, which was held at the Corowa Airport.

 

Race gates as usual were a feature f our income stream 

 

We helped the Girl Guides raise funds for a Jamboree by having them host a Club Dinner

 

We also purchased a Shelter Box to top up their stocks in readiness for the next natural disaster.

 

We again supported Rotary Foundation to the tune of $3,360, which equated to a donation of over $US100 per member. 

 

In early July we said good-bye to Charlotte Svensson from Sweden, in fact her parents come over and went home with her, we think to make sure she went home.  Later in July we welcomed Anders Larsen from Denmark and in January Mathias Jacobs from Brazil joined us as well.  Also in January we welcomed home Sebastian Nicholson from  his exchange year in Germany.
