Seb clearly had a life changing experience from his exchange and was very grateful to our club and Rotary International for the
chance to spend a year on the other side of the world.
During his year he was hosted with two families, went on a “Germany Trip” (like our safari) with a group of other exchangees
(mostly Brazilian, Mexican and American students).
He arrived in mid winter which of course was very cold, but this soon turned to spring & summer, by then Seb’s German had
become fluent and he enjoyed the experience even more. In November Seb met up with his older brother and they enjoyed a tour of Western Europe.
The exchange has allowed Sebastian to grow markedly in confidence, be able to deal easily with people and strangers. His future
life may be in drama school, although he is currently studying agriculture. He would like to go back to Europe sometime in the future.

Graham Brown shared with us his recent tour cycling experiences in Germany, Alsace (Eastern France) and Austria. Of interest to Rotarians was his connections with
some past and present exchange students – Sebastian, our current Outbound in Cochem;
