Every year in March, since 1979, the Khaki Vehicle Enthusiasts (KVE) come to Corowa, some for up to two weeks, to show off their restored vehicles and have a swap meet.  This is one of the biggest events of its type in the world.

On the Saturday of their gathering the vehicles parade down Sanger Street before returning to the racecourse for a swap meet. 

The Club provides the catering for this event starting early for breakfast and going through to lunch.  This is the Clubs second biggest fund raiser of the year and involves as many Rotarians as possible to deal with the large crowds that regularly attend.

The 43rd Annual Corowa Swim-In and Military Vehicle Gathering was underway with the parade down Sanger Street happening on Saturday, March 18 from 9am.

Military vehicles arrived in Corowa for the 43rd Annual Corowa Swim-In and Military Vehicle Gathering.

The annual event, held in March each year, is the single largest gathering of military vehicles in the southern hemisphere attracting military vehicle enthusiasts from all over Australia and the world to display and use their military vehicles.

This year’s theme was ‘Year of the Heavy Metal and Military Kit’ which includes any vehicle from a three tonne Blitz upwards, including Carriers and armoured vehicles.

The spectacular parade down Sanger Street returned on Saturday, March 18, commencing at 9am. The vehicles then headed out to the Corowa Showgrounds for a large military vehicle display and Swap Meet at the showgrounds.

The Rotary Club of Corowa were on hand to provide hot food from the BBQ.
